Philip Waley

Biography:

Philip Waley is an award-winning producer who has been working in the Film and Television Industry for over 30 years. Waley from a young age wanted to get into the film industry. He got his first job as a runner aged 13 on a TV Commercial for British Caledonian Airways. He worked every possible opportunity he had ranging from TV news to commercials to post production. He went to Film School in Dorset England where he achieved BA Hons in Media Production. His first real job was in-fact in the commercial industry where he produced hundreds of commercials worldwide and won a Silver Lion at Cannes. His aim was always to do features but like many commercials was a great place to start. He left the commercial side of his career in style with a week shoot with Mclaren Formula One Team in Barcelona. He is a big F1 Fan. From there his career began in feature films and he has never looked back. Waley is the founder of Shaken Not Stirred Inc, a production company based in Los Angeles that actively engages in a diverse range of film and TV projects. He has had the pleasure of working with major studios such as Legendary, Warner Bros, Fox, Netflix, Lionsgate, Sony, and Universal. In recent years, Baral-Waley joined producer Richter Hartig, and together, the trio, with decades of studio, network, and indie experience between them, created Harbor Wall Productions to offer their considerable expertise and substantial resources to organizations preparing for productions worldwide. In the midst of the Covid Crisis in 2020, they produced the indie feature film To Leslie, unveiling the story of a lottery winner who has squandered her winnings. Described as a 'sad, sweet country song of a movie, with a steel-guitar twang of love and loss,' the movie brought Andrea Riseborough an Academy Award nomination for the lead role of Leslie. Currently, Philip Waley is the Executive Producer on the action thriller Den of Thieves 2, featuring renowned actors Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson, with filming taking place in the Canary Islands. The Movie is being produced by Tooley Entertainment and eOne.
